It is mandatory for a teacher or adult supervisor to always accompany students, including to the toilet areas.

    3. In an emergency, follow advice given by guides and welcomers and Cathedral precinct staff. The Dean has overall responsibility.
    4.  Cathedral guides and welcomers are your first people to contact in case of an emergency.
    5. Teachers and group leaders have responsibility for the safety and actions of all members of their group.
    6.  Report any concerning incident or injury before leaving the precinct.

Recognise the Sacredness of this Shared Space

The Cathedral is a sacred place for the Catholic Church in Brisbane. Visitors are asked to demonstrate respect and refrain from:
    • Drinking or eating in the Cathedral or Chapel
    •  Taking photographs of children, vulnerable adults or people at prayer (unless authorised by the Cathedral office)
    •  Placing items on the altar or ambo (lectern)
    •  Sitting or playing on the Sanctuary
    •  Using mobile devices within the Cathedral and Chapel (particularly mobile phones)
    •  Recording tours either by audio or video
    •  Movement around the grounds and within the Cathedral itself should be kept respectful, with minimal disruption to other visitors, worshippers or passing members of the public. This is especially important as masses are held several times throughout the day and there are also opportunities for special worship, such as Adoration.

    Contribution

A contribution for the guided tour of $5 per person where appropriate; or any donation is appreciated.
The contribution may be paid directly to the Cathedral via direct debit or an invoice can be provided.
