Congratulations on your engagement!

Thank you for your interest in celebrating your wedding at: 
  •  St Stephen’s Cathedral, Brisbane City;   and   or
  • St Stephen’s Chapel, Brisbane City.  

​Our wedding package includes: 
  • a Cathedral Priest or Deacon; 
  • a Wedding Coordinator; 
  • an on-the-day attendant; 
  • set-up of the Church; 
  • up to two floral arrangements; 
  • an organist providing live music; 
  • an accompanying soloist singing selected hymns; 
  • the availability of the Church, and grounds for 90 minutes; 
  • bridal party parking for the duration of your wedding; 
  • guest and vendor parking for weekend weddings; 
  • ringing of the bells upon exit; and 
  • a wedding rehearsal. 

Wedding booking requirements:
  1. 3-months booking notice is received. 
  2. One partner must be a baptised Catholic.
  3. Pre-marriage education and preparation must be completed (3-months before    your wedding date).
  4. If either partner has been previously married, and divorced they will require a declaration of freedom to marry form from an ecclesiastical tribunal of the Catholic Church.  

In meeting the above requirements, a wedding booking can then be secured by:
  1. Payment of a 75% deposit.
  2. Submission of a Wedding Booking Form. 
  3. Signature on our    Terms &   Conditions. 
 
​​WEDDING BOOKINGS: To secure a booking, a deposit of 75% of the booking cost is payable at the time of booking, coupled with the submission of a completed Wedding Booking Form, and signed Terms & Conditions. This deposit includes a non-refundable booking fee of $300. If for any reason the wedding is cancelled within three months of the date booked, there will be no refund of paid deposit. Full payment must be received six weeks prior to the wedding date otherwise late fees will be applied. *Only on receipt of your deposit and your completed Booking Form will you then be notified by email confirmation of booking.

Times
The following booking times   (pending availability)    are offered for Saturday weddings:

The Cathedral of St Stephen

10.00am  -  1st, 3rd & 5th Saturday of each month
1.00pm - Every Saturday of the month (May, Jun, Jul, Aug)
1.30pm - Every Saturday of the month (Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec)
3.00pm - Every Saturday of the month (May, Jun, Jul, Aug)
3.30pm - Every Saturday of the month (Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec) 


St Stephen’s Chapel
11.30am - Every Saturday of the month
4.30pm - Every Saturday of the month

Weddings can also be celebrated during the week, except Tuesdays, in which case times are negotiable and subject to availability.

It should be noted that weddings   will not  be celebrated on the following dates:
  • Anzac Day; 
  • Sundays during Lent; 
  • Holy Week;
  • Easter weekend; 
  • Christmas Eve or Christmas Day;
  • New Years Eve or New Years Day;  or
  • Other public holidays throughout the year.​

The Cathedral car park is available on weekends for members of the public attending Mass or other ceremonies, eg, baptisms , weddings.   The car park will close 30mins after the conclusion of the Mass  or ceremony.
