We welcome you to celebrate your wedding within the sacred spaces of St Stephen’s Cathedral or St Stephen’s Chapel  - places of beauty, tradition, and reverence in the heart of Brisbane City.

We also accept bookings for Holy Spirit Church, New Farm, and St Patrick’s Church, Fortitude Valley, noting that availability at St Patrick’s is currently subject to approval due to planned building works within this space.

The Wedding Experience
Each celebration may include some or all of the following services and provisions:
  • officiation   by   a Cathedral   appointed   Priest   or Deacon
  • a dedicated Wedding Coordinator 
  • an   on-the-day attendant to assist you
  • set-up of the Church
  • up to two floral arrangements 
  • an organist providing live music
  • an accompanying soloist singing selected hymns
  • use of the church, and grounds for 90 minutes
  • bridal party parking for the duration of your wedding
  • ringing of the church bells as you exit
  • a wedding rehearsal prior to your special day 

To Be Married in the Catholic Church
To    proceed with booking, the following is required:
  • Minimum 3-months’ notice
  • At least one partner must be a baptised Catholic
  • Completion of pre-marriage preparation (3 months prior to wedding date)
  • Freedom to marry documentation (if previously married)

Booking Your Ceremony
A booking is secured upon:
  • Submission of a completed Wedding Booking Form
  • Acceptance of Terms & Conditions
  • Payment of a 75% deposit
Your date is confirmed once all requirements have been received and processed.

The Cathedral car park is available on weekends for members of the public attending Mass or other ceremonies, eg, baptisms , weddings.   The car park will close 30mins after the conclusion of the Mass  or ceremony.
