We would be honoured to welcome you to celebrate your wedding with Cathedral Communities. Choose from The Cathedral of St Stephen or St Stephen’s Chapel in the heart of Brisbane City, or the beautiful parish setting of Holy Spirit Church, New Farm. Wedding availability at St Patrick’s Church, Fortitude Valley is currently limited due to planned building works; please contact our Wedding Office regarding current availability. From your initial enquiry through to your wedding day, our Wedding Office will guide you through the preparation for your Catholic marriage and the practical arrangements for your church celebration.
Your Wedding Package
Depending on your chosen venue, your wedding package includes:
- A Cathedral-appointed priest or deacon, subject to availability, or the option to request your own priest subject to the necessary approvals.
- Wedding preparation and administrative support.
- Standard preparation and set-up of the church.
- On-the-day assistance from a Cathedral sacristan.
- Up to two floral arrangements, venue-dependent, subject to seasonal availability and the liturgical calendar.
- Live organ music and a singer, using approved sacred repertoire.
- A 90-minute church booking.
- A wedding rehearsal.
Your tailored quotation will confirm the inclusions and arrangements applicable to your chosen church.
Can We Be Married Here?
To celebrate your wedding with Cathedral Communities:
- A minimum of three months’ notice is required.
- At least one person must be a baptised Catholic.
- Couples must complete an approved pre-marriage education program.
- Required Church and civil marriage documentation must be completed before the wedding.

*10:00am is available on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays and is available for a Wedding Ceremony only.
St Stephen’s Chapel - Saturdays
11:30am · 4:30pm
Holy Spirit Church | New Farm
Ceremonies are available at selected times, with a latest start time of 3:00pm.
St Patrick’s Church | Fortitude Valley

Weekday weddings may also be available by arrangement, subject to venue, clergy and liturgical availability.
Unavailable Dates
Weddings are not available on:
ANZAC Day · Sundays during Lent · Holy Week · Easter · Christmas Eve & Day · New Year’s Eve & Day · Public Holidays
Additional dates may occasionally be unavailable due to significant Cathedral, Archdiocesan or parish celebrations.

Simply let us know your preferred church, wedding date and ceremony time, and our Wedding Office will advise current availability and provide a tailored wedding quotation.
Available dates may be placed on a seven-day tentative hold while you consider your quotation.
A wedding booking is secured upon receipt of:
- A completed Wedding Booking Form.
- Acceptance of the Wedding Terms & Conditions.
- The required 75% deposit.
